With LGBT Worldwide Music Videos – Part 1, we presented a huge chunk of LGBT music videos. Most of them were rather… tragic, in that they presented characters that killed themselves, were killed or left… but as we moved up on our list, things were looking much brighter.
I’m happy to say that the last 15 videos of the compilation are all about happy subjects.
So let’s get his party started!
–
Nhojj – Amazing Grace
There ain’t nothing less happy than a wedding~ This Guyana singer based in NYC does his own version of the iconic Amazing Grace.
S.H.E – Belief
I certainly didn’t expect S.H.E to be on the list, let alone twice!
Amongst all the lovey-dovey stuff, there’s a couple of men romancing each other and hugging.
Gloria Trevi – Todos me Miran
Yay! Everyone Looks at Me positions Gloria Trevi (the one with El Pelo Suelto) pretty high up on the list with this song and video (well, half the video) about a queen — the only truly positive video I could find outside of partying. Sorry, RuPaul~
You can check a subtitled version on YouTube.
Kylie Minogue – All the Lovers
Love is free love for all ;P
You gotta commend Kylie for that naked fest with that much free loving — which does fall in that category of party gay, but you gotta admit that for what the video is, it is a pretty tasteful one. Kudos to Joseph Khan!
Adam Joseph – Finally
Adam Joseph is an American musician, and his video follows a man prepping for the day when “it” finally happens for him.

How about this list? Happy enough?

Hmmm… I dunno if the arabic pop MV should be so high up – but say what you say about sad music videos (gay or straight), there’s something so much more when there’s tragedy in a video!

@ghost, sadness is cathartic! LOL They are more memorable than happy music videos unless they’re incredibly beautifully shot. Having said that, I still think that Elva Hsiao and Amei’s music videos (though happy) are perfect.
