Heading Across the Pond – Interview With Patients

What song would you recommend to new listeners to get started listening to Patients?

For someone’s first experience with Patients, I’d recommend checking out “Sipalsegi.”  After that, I think a good track to listen to is “Let’s Drive, Let’s Go!”

What is your writing style, do you have a favorite way to get creative and start writing?

I only writing songs when I feel inspired to.  For me, this is the only way to make a good song.  When a good idea for a song part pops into my head, or there’s a story I want to tell, that’s when I start writing.

What do you like to do most when you aren’t creating and performing music?

I run the Seoul indie label Steel Face Records so I spend a lot of time doing music-related work and meeting with people in the music industry.  I like this work a lot, and it makes me happy to do things that can help introduce Patients and the other acts on Steel Face Records to more listeners around the world.  Hyuckjang enjoys playing games and meeting up with people. Jaehyuk watches lots of movies.

Thanks for talking with us again – any last words to our readers?

Please give 18 a listen and we hope to meet you at a Patients gig in Korea or somewhere else in the world!  Thanks for reading about us and to YAM Magazine for writing about Patients again.  I hope you all have many, many wonderful days.

You can keep up with Patients via their Facebook and Twitter pages.

Their latest album 18 can be purchased from iTunes or Bandcamp (which is cheaper, and a better deal for the bands too!)
