BiBi Zhou and the Five Directors She Should Collaborate With

Muh Chen Yi Ren (陳奕仁)

We haven’t been able to find much information on Muh Chen, who heads Grass Jelly Studio and has collaborated plenty of times with Elva Hsiao, Jane Zhang and Sodagreen, but we haven’t spotted any collaborations with Bibi. If they had collaborated in the past, we strongly suggest another one should be in the works.

From all of our picks on the post, this is probably the most likely collaboration of all.

Muh Chen’s style is varied, showing great style and flow for dance music videos, like in Elva Hsiao’s L.O.V.E, [MV] or the recently released single by Van Ness’ Love Faith Live (說愛就愛)

A YinYueTai version is also available.

We’re not expecting Bibi to come up with a heavily choreographed music video any time soon. In fact, if a collaboration with Muh Chen is possible, we would love for them to work with what they do best: Emotion. With Bibi’s voice, and the ability of Grass Jelly Studio to bring out feeling with a cohesive story or just mere visuals, the both of them could create magic.

Just check out the music video for Sodagreen’s Incomparable Beauty (無與倫比的美麗) [MV], the sentimental video with the contemporary motion graphics Little Love Song (小情歌) [MV], or their most recent collaboration together, What is Troubling You (你在煩惱什麼) [MV].

Grass Jelly Studio has such a variety of styles and genres in their portfolio, which includes visuals created for Faye Wong’s latest and very sought after concert in Beijing and Hong Kong, that Bibi could get some heavily visual motion graphic music videos in her repertoire which would eventually elevate her image from mere pop idol to a true pop diva.

    If we’re talking Faye Wong Grass Jelly Studio visuals, I hope Bibi gets them for a music video in the future.

    I also hadn’t seen those Bibi on white pictures before. Or at least, as big as they are.

    I hate to be the one that doesn’t know anything about BiBi Zhou; however, her current style suggests that she’d be a PERFECT model for Sigismondi. Her work is beyond stellar and Zhou just seems like an artist that could provide the kind of muse for Sigismondi’s mind.

    @amy, you re-posted already.

    If Bibi reaches Faye Wong status, my commendations. The new diva of Asia?

    @Camiele, what you can do to know everything, or more, about BiBi is check Amy’s reviews on here. If you actually go deep into her blog, you’ll find even more comments.

    Sigismondi might be a little too rock for BiBi atm, Black Apple seemed to be the most rocking track on her latest album, and she just shifts from one genre to the other. If she works with Muller, she can pave her way to Sigismondi.

      @ghost, Thanks for informing me :)

      As I said, I can only go by these pictures here, and her style (the superficial kind, I suppose) seem like just the aesthetic that Sigismondi goes for. But, you’re right, I need to look for into it. Thanks :)
