Amy’s 2014 Music Highlights
6. Shiina Ringo (椎名林檎) – Hi Izuru Tokoro (日出処, Land of the Rising Sun)
In all honesty, Shiina Ringo has a LOT more potential to make it to the top, but… I hate that half of this album is “the best tracks that I’ve released in the past five years.” Literally. The last track, Ariamaru Tomi (ありあまる富, Superfluous Fortune) [MV], was released as a single back in 2009. They’re all great amazing songs, though, so I can’t help myself.
You can also stream the album on Xiami, and buy it on iTunes… as well as YesAsia or HMV Japan in the Normal Edition [YA][HMV], The One with Extra Bluray [YA][HMV], The One with Extra DVD [YA][HMV].
5. Imogen Heap – Sparks
Similar with Imogen Heap, in my opinion, as amazing as she is as well. Though, to be fair, Heap had been publicly working on Sparks for the past two years.
Imogen Heap is also on Xiami (where there’s a Mandarin version of Xizi She Knows), but all of us in the West better get her stuff on iTunes or Amazon.
whoa, some really good songs on this latest Calle 13 album.
I was shocked as well. LOL
