Noir City X: Q&A With Angie Dickinson

EM: People seem to have different opinions about working with Brando. What was your experience?
AD: The Chase would not be here tonight — film noir — but it was noir because it was so weird.

EM: You and Brando were really good.
AD: Oh he was incredible. He was very funny. Not many people knew how funny he was. And he loved to put you on, he loved to see you turn beat red.

EM: What did he do to make you turn beat red?
AD: He would ask me lots of questions and I couldn’t answer. Even to my closest friends. He was really bad that way.

Midnight in Paris

EM: Do you still go to movies? Do you watch movies?
AD: Oh yes. I’m always there. I see lots of movies.

EM: What have you seen lately that we should go out and watch?
AD: My Week With Marilyn. Isn’t that great? The Artist. I’ve seen it many times.

EM: Have you seen Hugo?
AD: I love Hugo! I love it. It appears that they’re selling that it’s for children and it’s not for children, it’s about children and it’s a wonderful film. It’s my third favorite.

EM: Those are the three?
AD: Midnight in Paris. Isn’t that great? I love movies.

What an interesting woman! I find myself intrigues to see some of her work. What would you recommend?
