We at YAM love everything that helps open the borders between cultures as well as helping people discover new things to love. That is why I was pleasantly surprised to find out about Make Musik Stockholm – a one-day festival that aims to take over the streets with music and lets artists be heard.
Hip-Hop legend Young Jeezy was in town to promote his latest album TM:103 Hustlerz Ambition. YAM got a chance to meet him for a couple of questions after the show.
Competition in the Kpop world becomes a veritable battle of the sexes when you take into consideration the preparation and standard to which certain idols are held.
How is it that a form of music so integral to the individualization of Black Americans becomes something of a farce in their hands? While it’s a debate that’s been beaten like the proverbial dead horse, it’s one that still bears consideration.
The new rising soul legend, Michael Kiwanuka, is currently on tour promoting his new album Home Again. Critics all around the world have been amazed by the talent this 24-year-old has. YAM got a chance to see him as he played in Stockholm on this sunny spring day.
