The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Weekly comics on your TV. Part II!

WEDNESDAY

Ohai Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard in Macbeth! You both look appropriately ominous!

X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner also talked that she wished to forget all about X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Believe me, Missus, I wish I could sometimes! She also wants to actually make a Deadpool movie. I hope it isn’t just words.

We so want to make it. We’re getting there. I think it will, but one thing now is the rating. If we make it a smaller budget movie, we can go for the R-Rating. If not, then we push the boundaries of PG-13 which is alright too. We just don’t want to saturate the market to the point where it’s just not special anymore.

Anyway, Mark Ruffalo is quite happy to be back for Hulk work and praises the script of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Yay!

It’s been pretty wild [getting those dots back on my face for Hulk]. The technology is really advanced, so we can do a lot more with the Hulk performance in particular than we could last time around. So I’m really excited about the stuff we’re doing right now with him and I feel like he’s got some really nice nuance stuff; kind of his own little arc(s?). The [Bruce] Banner stuff is great. Joss Whedon topped himself. It’s such a great, beautifully written script and really exciting and fun.

THURSDAY

Let’s talk about the DC TV series at the CW~ First, the extended trailer for The Flash, which makes the show look way better than the crappy first look~

Talking about The Flash, it seems that Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen from Arrow, will appear in a extended cameo in The Flash pilot. Amell seems also pretty sure they will be more opportunities for crossovers~

We’d be insane if we didn’t do crossover stuff. I don’t know that it has to be an event or big moments, but the shows share a universe, and not utilizing that fact would be insane. I’m sure that we will at some point.

Ending with Arrow propperly, John Barrowman’s Dark Archer would have a bigger role and, as such, will be made a series regular for Season 3. Congrats for the job stability, Mr. Barrowman!

Yay! Here are some casting news for High Rise, the adaptation of a JG Ballard novel who also features my Real Life Disney Prince Tom Hiddleston~ And yup, here we have Jeremy Irons again with Hiddles… wonder if he’ll get slapped again? And we also have Sienna Miller.

And now a casting rumor, Hiddles may star in the sports drama Kyriakides, which is about the true story of the Greek marathoner Stelios Kyriakides who survived through the Nazi occupation of Athens. Well, Hiddles does like to run and knows (Ancient) Greek~ The article also mentioned another project of Hiddleston in development I was not aware of, Two Minutes to Midnight. That one is “about a renowned divorce attorney whose wife has been kidnapped and will be killed unless he takes his own life at midnight”. Harsh!

Finally, here’s the first look of Julianne Moore as President Coin in  The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. Yep, habemus new website! And it has some more pictures as well as more info and short videos.

  1. I hope Frankenstein, M.D. turns out well.

Good to hear Renee Montoya’s going to be in Gotham, but what aspects of her stories will they incorporate?

Aw, Namor can be good in his own stories! I’m a fan of his, though, so I might be biased. Still, idk if I’d want a movie for such a relatively little-known character if they can’t do it well…
