The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Weekly comics on your TV. Part II!

MONDAY

Zack Snyder is a filthy teaser and here’s a first look of the Batmovile from behind for Batman vs. Superman:

Star Wars: Episode VII Rumors! First, Adam Driver could be playing Han & Leia’s son. To what I say bullsh*t! Whatever his acting talent, in what universe two babes like Ford and Fisher could have a son like Driver? Yes, I am shallow. Also, talking about the Star Wars alumni, another rumor says that Harrison Ford could be a lead in the movie, while Mark Hamill & Carrie Fisher would have strong supporting parts. Because Ford is still the better looking even in his old age~

Talking about the attractiveness of people, Troll King Moffat gives a backhanded compliment to all the Doctors in general, and Matt Smith in particular~

When you choose a Doctor, you want somebody who is utterly compelling, attractive in a very odd way. None of the Doctors are conventionally attractive, but they’re all arresting. Handsome men don’t quite suit. Matt Smith’s a young, good-looking bloke from one angle but is actually the strangest looking man from another. You need that oddity; you need somebody who is carved out of solid star, really.

So yeah, something happened in Once Upon a Time. Something Frozen.

Showrunners Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz talked about it as well as other stuff that happened on the season finale~

We watched that movie, we fell in love with it, we fell in love with the characters. And then an idea started to take hold, and it grew and grew and grew until we pitched it. And we were really fortunate to be told we could take a crack at it.

TUESDAY

Here’s a bunch of character images from Gotham. My favs are The Penguin and Catwoman… Catgirl?

So yeah Channing Tatum is gonna be Gambit. WHY?! I mean, I find Tatum a decent actor and I like him in comedies somewhat, but why?! He doesn’t look like Gambit at all! And can he even fake a cajun accent?! Anyway, according to The Hollywood Reporter, he will have a stand-alone film and his version of Gambit will appear in X-Men: Apocalypse… so what happened? Taylor Kitsch had a horrible accident? Not that I think he’s a better actor, but he looks like Gambit way more than Tatum! This is what X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner had to say:

It is Channing, yes. Yes… Well, you know, he’s a rogue, Channing, he’s a rascal just like Remy LeBeau. And he can handle the action, we all know that. And he’s got a really good heart, I know him personally, I did [She’s The Man] with him. So I think he’ll be great as Gambit.

On also no that great news, Roberto Orci will indeed direct the third part of the new Star Trek franchise. I am so not OK with this! This guy has never directed a Hollywood big-budget film before! Sure, he is a writer and I am OK with giving new people a chance but still!

Harry Potter news! Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will open on November 18, 2016! Just so you remember, this will be just the first of a new batch of Harry Potter-related movies. I suspect they will be based on the Harry Potter world but won’t talk about Harry Potter, much. Also, J.K. Rowling is writing the script.

  1. I hope Frankenstein, M.D. turns out well.

Good to hear Renee Montoya’s going to be in Gotham, but what aspects of her stories will they incorporate?

Aw, Namor can be good in his own stories! I’m a fan of his, though, so I might be biased. Still, idk if I’d want a movie for such a relatively little-known character if they can’t do it well…
