The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Spoilers from far, far away

MONDAY

That Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel? We might get Dimension X! You know, the one we get evil Krang and the other not that evil Utroms! They were even teased in previous scripts, but in the end it didn’t happen because “it made the movie a bit too unfocused”. I guess fan favourites Bebop, Rocksteady and dear lovely Casey Jones will happen to eventually.

Finally, decent set pictures of  Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice! And well… Bruce, dear, it seems you’ve been in trouble (maybe in Metropolis went shit hit the fan?) but good god those clothes are very ill-fitting! I am sure you can afford clothes that fit even when they are disheveled! Damn, he could afford clothes that fit for all of the now homeless people of Metropolis!

OMG! Benedict Cumberbatch’s Hamlet has become “the most in-demand theatre production of all time”! And it doesn’t even begin until August 25… next freaking year! Hamlet is outselling the next most-popular production, A Streetcar Named Desire, by four to one, and the searches for tickets is bigger than the Beyoncé and Jay Z’s world tour! Yep, Cumberbitches be wild! I mean, The Cumbercollective!

Also, here’s a new trailer for Doctor Who Series 8 first episode, “Deep Breath”! Yay, a T-Rex and Peter Capaldi in a nightgown!

TUESDAY

On the most surprising news today, you know that Ben-Hur remake from MGM, Paramount and Timur Bekmambetov? They want Tom Hiddleston as the titular character! OMG! I don’t even know what to think! I mean, on one hand I love Hiddles and I want to watch him in many things. On the other, I am not sure if being in a remake is that good, or if the remake is good, and damn Hiddles, you are too white to be an ancient Jew. Of course, I might forgive it a little bit if you get the part and they leave the “sub” out of the gay subtext~

Terry Crews still wants to play Luke Cage, now that the character will have its own Marvel/Netflix series. On one hand, he’s a tad too old for the role… one the other I love him and would love for him to be part of the Marvel Universe! Besides, the dude loves the character!

I remember then seeing Falcon and a couple of others. Even in the D.C. Universe there was Cyborg. But Luke Cage was the original one where you said ‘This is me. This is my guy. This is the character.’ So he’s the equivalent to Superman for me. But I have plenty. Second to Luke Cage would probably be The Hulk. The Hulk was amazing.

James Gunn talked some more about the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel. And that Peter Quill’s dad ain’t the same as in the comicbooks. Also, Thanos won’t necessarily be in the sequel if he’s not needed.

He will show up [in the sequel] if he helps our story and he will not show up at all if not. “Thanos is not the most important thing in Guardians 2, that’s for damn sure. There’s the Guardians themselves and other threats the Guardians are going to be facing that are not Thanos.

And now that Marvel has proved they can make money no matter how unknown their characters, they have another superhero team in mind: The Inhumans. Makes sense since they can’t use The X-Men~ They might even use the script they had by Joe Robert Cole. Of course, with some changes here and there. For those unaware, the Inhumans were created by Kree experiments on primitive humans, but then the Kree abandoned the project and the Inhumans went on to form a society of their own. Vin Diesel have been dropping hints about being part of it on his facebook. And sure, if it actually happens he can totally be Black Bolt, the king of Inhumans! You see, he only voices Groot and Black Bolt cannot speak (because his voice is his weapon and if he did speak we would be destroyed)!

We have some possible spoilers from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it indeed seems that Bruce Wayne was there when Superman and General Zod leveled Metropolis, so the new movie should start around that frame. Also Lexcorp gets Zod’s body and some kryptonite and that is bad news!

OMG! Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro team up for a new Silent Hill game! And Norman Reedus is the freaking star!
