The day started very nerdy with the video The Higgs Boson Explained… in comics. It’s very entertaining and pretty. Def a must watch!
My enabler friend keeps sending stuff to break my brain… here’s Freema Agyeman (who I know thanks to Doctor Who) on the set of The Carrie Diaries… yes, the Sex & The City prequel; and yes, Carrie is Violet from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
On “not sure if want” news, apparently it’s all but confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch’s role on the Star Trek sequel will be of KHAAAAAAAAN! J. J. Abrams, if this be true, you’re playing with fire and the trekkies will burn you! I love Benedict, you know I do, but Khan Noonien Singh was Indian (even if that’s a ridiculous Indian name, according to my Indian buddies), you cannot cast one of the whitest actors I know as Khan. That’s a step back from casting a Mexican (even someone as awesome as Ricardo Montalbán) as an Indian. I really cannot believe the director who was worried about John Cho’s casting as Hikaru Sulu because he was Korean instead of Japanese in the reboot, will commit such a thing. Fans are already crying whitewashing. But until it is officially confirmed, as in comes from Abrams’ mouth itself, I’ll be in la-la-land and think Cumberbatch must be playing another villain…
Oh yeah, there will also be Spock Primer and Klingons. But that is perfectly fine!
Worries about trekkies turning his back on J. J. Abrams aside, I want to say I haven’t played Diablo (or Diablo II) in ages (back when I still played computer games), but I remember I had a great time with those… so yay, new game, and the trailer looks good!
In related news (as in things I used to do but I don’t anymore), here are the nominees for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. I am especially sad because The Avengers couldn’t be nominated for anything ’cause Americans haven’t seen it yet.
Now, on things I do care about. A lot. ZOMG, here’s the new The Dark Knight Rises trailer!
I just saw The Avengers and it was fantastic. What language will Hiddleston speak next?
I won’t pass any judgment on Star Trek casting until it’s officially announced. If it’s true, then there will be much judging indeed on my part.

And yes, Hiddles’ brain is one of the many things I find atractive about that impossible man :D
