The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Shall we begin?

MONDAY

First thing in the morning, the Star Trek into Darkness teaser poster with Benny Cumberbatch looking menacing:

Yeah, it kinda looks like The Dark Knight Rises and the Inception posters had a baby. And I am not the only one who thought so!

Talking about posters, we got a new Man of Steel poster. The quality is not the best, but the image in the poster does go with the “serious approach of the character”.

Lots of new clips of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey where we see the dwarves in action… and Gollum talking to himself~

So, The Avengers will bring Thanos to their sequel. Well, Marvel, DC will see your Titan and raise you a God. Yup, according to Latino Review, Darkseid will be the big baddie in the Justice League movie.

So now we know who will be Harry Osbourne in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Dane DeHaan, if you are wondering), but for me the most important thing is Jamie Foxx will be Electro. Wow.

X-Men Days of Future Past speculation, done by those who have comic book knowledge and the extra time. Very interesting read!

Info on the newest Guillermo del Toro project, it’s called Crimson Peak and it’ll be “a very set-oriented, classical but at the same time modern take on the ghost story. It will allow me to play with the conventions of the genre I know and love, and at the same time subvert the old rules.” I like it already.

J.K. Rowling’s latest book The Casual Vacancy will be a BBC TV series! No matter the mixed reviews, Our Queen is going places~

BTW, Hiddles was at Life of Pi UK premiere looking dashing as usual, even if he was wearing the same suit at The Avengers premiere in Moscow. It’s not stalking, it’s research~

And how did he like the movie?

Life of Pi is absolutely beautiful. By turns wild, colourful, fun, poetic, inspiring, expansive, mysterious and deep. Like the sea.

He liked it just fine~

Why is EVERYONE trying to ruin everything that I find beautiful in the world?!?!?! A musical of Pan’s Labyrinth , though? REALLY?!?! But… WAAAAAAAEEEEE!

    God… I just… I can’t… HaHa.

@Camiele, because we must MILK anything that was remotely successful – no matter how many times, you must MILK it. The only one that’s getting away with it is going to be Gone With The Wind coz no one is going to think of it being remade as a 4hrs movie, and if it’s not a faithful re-adaptation, everyone’s going to piss at the news ;P

      • Camiele says:

@amy, *siiiiigh* You’re right, of course. And more than angry, it makes me sad that there’s nothing sacred anymore. No matter how beautiful something was to begin with, somebody somewhere tries to make it something completely disgusting just to wring a few extra bucks out of it. Damn!

  2. “Like the sea.”
    “Right in the childhood.”
    great phrases.
