The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Picture Perfect

THURSDAY

Here’s announcement video of LEGO Dimensions (and the extended cut), a videogame that includes physical toy figurines and fuses together universes from multiple WB and Lego brands (yes, just like Disney Infinity). The game will launch on September 27 and here’s what you’ll get with the starter pack:

In addition to the game, the Lego Dimensions starter pack will include the Lego Toy Pad, letting players transport special Lego minifigures and other Lego objects into the game; bricks to build the Lego Gateway; and three Lego minifigures: Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle from “The Lego Movie”; plus the Lego Batmobile.

Finally! Here are new for Pixar sequel I was actually waiting for! Brad Bird has confirmed that he has started writing the script of The Incredibles 2! OK, consering it’s just the script, it means the movie might come out in 2018 at the earlies… but still!

Entertaining Weekly released some images and info about Jurassic World in their Summer Movie Preview. Specially about the ride that interested me more because it was so awesome it could only go horribly wrong~

There’s a ride at the park that allows you to get into a gyroscopic sphere and be out in the wild with dinosaurs and travel beneath them—and that goes horribly wrong. Imagine being inside a sphere and then suddenly it breaks and you’re rolling like a cat with a ball of yarn.

Also, check this Mosasaurus about to eat a shark poster!

Entertainment Weekly also shared images of superhero film Ant-Man and Fantastic Four! In both pictures there’s a character throwing a punch. One shows the Ant-Man villain Yellowjacket and a teeny tiny Ant-Man! It’s also confirmed that the Ant-Man suit has no weapons, unlike Yellowjacket who has plasma cannons. The other one shows a not-so-happy The Thing; and we also gained the knowledge that floating is painful… at least to poor Kate Mara as Invisible Woman.

Some lucky bastards got to watch Avengers: Age of Ultron during its first press screening! The reactions? Pretty positive! Great things include “Black Widow kicks ass and Hawkeye has the best lines” [1], “Whedon’s love of Scarlet Witch and his guilt for Hawkeye’s Avengers role stand out” [2], “Thor is hilarious and Scarlet Witch kicks so much ass” [3] and “Spader’s Ultron so much more snarky than I thought he would be”[4]. Well, it seems I’m going to love this movie!

Avengers: Age of Ultron is tracking great numbers, possibly over $200 million and passing the first movie, and that’s the highest opening in history. Check out this great presales (and yes, I already have my ticket):

Advance ticket sales started early last month. Right now, sales are through the roof and the sequel is “significantly outselling” the first Avengers, said a Fandango spokesperson. “Theaters around the country are sold out and managers are right now adding showtimes to meet the fan demand.” MovieTickets.com also that U.S. advance ticket sales are six times greater than The Avengers.

Here it is! The character poster we were waiting for! Here’s a very up-close look of The Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron!

Also, here’s concept art of Ben Hardy as Angel in X-Men: Apocalypse. Yes, Ben Hardy will be Angel, Bryan Singer confirmed it~ So, the wings he has… maybe we are dealing with Archangel eventually in the movie, since the concept art from last week did show regular feathered wings.

And the final reveal is Daredevil‘s final (and classic) costume! Yep, in all its red, leathery and horned glory!

It’s spinoff time! Marvel is quietly developing one for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.! Of course wheteher ABC picks it up is another issue. It’s almost a sure thing we will get a third season, and it’s possible that story elements yet to come on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this year will be used to lay the groundwork for the potential spin-off. If everything goes well, we may have them for the North Hemisphere Fall (our Spring), but it could also appear in the midseason of the third season.
