The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Picture Perfect

TUESDAY

OMG! Betrayal! Joss Whedon says that Avengers: Age of Ultron won’t have a post-credit scene! I mean, we still get a tag (a little scene that pops up shortly after the credits start), but nothing after the full credits end.

There is nothing at the very end. And that’s not a fake-out. We want people to know so they don’t sit there for 10 minutes and then go: ‘Son of a bitch! I’ll kill them!’

But, should I trust him!? It’s not like Whedon hasn’t lied to me before! Dammit!

Well, it was bound to happen. Every time a junior novel of a Marvel movie happens, some spoilers are revealed. Here are the ones for Avengers: Age of Ultron! The least spoilery I will post here is that “Tony and Pepper are still a couple, as are Thor and Jane”. Yay!

Five Nights at Freddy’s is getting a movie! Thank, Warner Bros! Yeah. While the game is simple (and creepy), it has a very interesting (and even creepier) backstory which has been widly talked about in gaming and mystery video blogs; so I am glad it’s getting a movie. I hope it gets a GOOD movie tho!

Awesome Tatiana Maslany talked about the great strong female characters in Orphan Black~

The characters [in Orphan Black] all have a complexity to them, an unapologetic individuality. They’re not physically superhuman and emotionless and without flaws. Having a strong female character doesn’t mean she’s beyond suffering and fragility. There’s a fearlessness. That to me is strong writing for women. It defies gender.

Maisie Williams promised changes for real in Game Of Thrones season 5! I hope it’s more than her new pretty dress~

When I say there’s a massive change in Game of Thrones, I think it’s the first time I’ve actually meant it. People are going to think, ‘You go through a change every year.’ But this year it’s on a completely different level – it’s so exciting. It sounds so broad, but actually ‘change’ is really, really specific.

WEDNESDAY

Here’s an epic Avengers: Age of Ultron banner, that you can have if you get the four Entertainment Weekly covers for their Summer Movie Preview issue that includes their scoops on the movie. Mmm, that banner kinda reminds me of those old X-Men covers with Magneto that also form a banner~

Talking about Avengers: Age Of Ultron covers, here are two courtesy of Total Film! Imagine that! Black Widow and Nick Fury are at the front! While pleasantly surprised, I wonder why is not Hulk (or Bruce Banner) in the cover instead of Fury? Well, according to Total Film, the jolly green giant will have a cover all to himself, which will be only available to their subscribers~

Ryan Reynolds sure is having a lot of fun doing DeadpoolHere’s another funny image of the titular character shared via his Twitter. Yep, he’s on a toilet and reading the latest issue of his comicbook~

Ryan Gosling and Guillermo del Toro may make another Haunted Mansion movie! The first being the not-so-good one with Eddie Murphy from 2003. Haunted Mansion has been in development at Disney for several years, in fact it was first announced at Comic-Con back in 2010. OK, I hope they actually make it, even if both seems kinda bussy. Specially Guillermo del Toro, who has like a million projects under his belt.

Continuing with Disney, here’s another one for the list of their classic animated movies turning live-action: Pinocchio. Yep, Pinocchio. Although this is a more “loosely based” version, unlike the Cinderella one. I do hope they keep the songs, so I can get another version of “I’ve got no strings” besides the one from Avengers: Age Of Ultron trailer (I wonder if it will appear in the movie somehow).

Yay, we get to keep Aidan Turner in our screens some more! Poldark had decent ratings in BBC, so now we get a second series! It’s based on Winston Graham’s books, and the first season (now up to Episode 5) is based on the first and second books. These new 8 episodes will be based on the books three and four~
