The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Nobody puts Erso in the corner~

TUESDAY

OMG! Squirrel Girl on TV? It’s more likely than you think! Marvel and ABC Studios are developing a New Warriors comedy series, and I am totally down for that! The half hour series won’t air on ABC though! It’s apparently being shopped around to both cable and streaming services. So, who are the New Warriors? Just a superhero squad made up of teenagers, like the junior version of The Avengers.

On the DC side of things, check out the new posters for Gotham Season 3 and Supergirl Season 2.

Brad Bird gave us an update on The Incredibles 2! About time, dammit! It’s been 12 years! Not like he said a lot (could he be more vague?!), but at least it keeps moving forward!

It’s very actively moving, and we’re excited about it.  [We’re] trying to take it in some new directions.  Hopefully it’s the same characters and feel, but going in a new direction.  I mean, that’s the trick with a sequel. It’s repeating yourself, without repeating yourself.

WEDNESDAY

OMG! The Rogue One toys are being revealed Robot Chicken-style in the #GoRogue stop motion four-episode web series. Such clever marketing! Here’s the first one:

It was officially revealed that Stranger Things is getting a second season, and the Duffer Brothers revealed some season 2 details to Entertainment Weekly. Like just as they modeled season 1 after a movie, season 2 is modeled after a blockbuster’s sequel. Also, James Cameron style! There will be new settings, but we are also returning to the Upside Down. And finally, season 2 will be nine episodes, so yay for more!

Here’s the first official picture of Sherlock series 4, which should premier at the end of the year. We are the fandom who waited, yo! Guess it can be helped since both Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman were working (with Marvel!). Also, damn, John Watson has gone totally gray!
