The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Most Profitable Superhero!

TUESDAY

Christopher Nolan wrote a seven-page, prequel comic book to Interstellar! You can read about what happened to Dr. Mann, “the best” of The Lazarus Project’s space explorers, here~

You know how X-Men: Apocalypse will happen in the 80s, and that could mean teenaged version of the X-Men characters we saw on the first movie? Well, there’s been casting news from young Jean Grey and Cyclops. While I know nothing about the guys considered for the latter (Ben Hardy, Charlie Rowe and Timothee Chalamet), I am intrigued but not convinced of the casting choices for Jean Grey: Chloe Moretz, Elle Fanning and Hailee Steinfeld. So yes, it seems they want a known girl for Jean Grey and a new face for Scott Summers. I’d rather both were unknown performers but oh well. I hope they are important enough, instead of the rumors of the Magneto/Mystique romance. Come on! I want to know if Nightcrawler was conceived somewhere between X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Class, since they decided to off Azazel.

From Hell is a graphic novel by Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell, which was adapted in 2001 as a movie with Johnny Depp, and now will be a drama series on FX. From Hell is about Jack the Ripper, specifically the events leading up to the Whitechapel killings and the cover-up that followed.

Luther is getting an American remake and I’m not sure I want! At least Neil Cross is writing and Idris Elba is producing so at least it won’t be bad, right? I hope Elba is not the titular character again. I don’t really want a repeat of David Tennant in Broadchurch/Gracepoint.

Right now TBS is showing its first season of American Dad, after it aired its first 10 seasons on Fox. It seems TBS is quite optimistic because of the good ratings and has ordered a new 22-episode season. Well, I am for one glad, American Dad is the best (and my favourite) of Seth MacFarlane’s animated series.

Steven Moffat confirms that Peter Capaldi will still be in Doctor Who Series 9. And then he added that Jenna Coleman, who has been Doctor’s Companion Clara Oswald for the past two years, had not. Yep, that totally doesn’t fuel the rumors that said that she’s going to jump ship after the upcoming Christmas special. Not at all!

On related news, Peter Capaldi could have been the Doctor back in 1996, on the Doctor Who movie with Paul McGann. Guess it was for the best, since that movie didn’t do well.

Remember how we were promised a Sherlock Christmas Special? Turns out we are only getting a Sherlock Special and the Christmas part was just wishful thinking. Yep, it is not confirmed we are getting it at Christmas.

It will be finished, of course, by the end of spring. When they show it is entirely down to the schedulers. It would fit as a Christmas special but there’s no guarantee of that – they used to show the Mike Yarwood [Christmas] Show in the summertime.

Dammit, Mark Gatiss! Why would you say something like that!

Yay! Character posters for Pixar’s Inside Out! And here are my favourite two: Sadness and Disgust:
