The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: I am an immigrant

THURSDAY

Good news for MCU fans in the US of A (and meh for most of the rest of the world): Avengers: Infinity War‘s release date moved up one week to April 27, instead of May 4. The way they presented it was kinda cute! A twitter exchange between the official Marvel Studios account and Robert Downey Jr.’s. Here’s the updated poster:

During the Empire Podcast, Black Panther‘s director, Ryan Coogler, and executive producer, Nate Moore, gave away 11 “secrets” like the working title was Motherland, the ‘building bridges’ line is an old African proverb, and a ‘powerful’ scene between Okoye and W’Kabi was cut (dammit!).

OMG! Terry Pratchett’s Discworld will get a TV adaptation with BBC Studios & Narrativia! The show currently has the working title of The Watch, so it could probably be about Sam Vimes and the Ankh-Morpork City Watch!

FRIDAY

Well damn, these Avengers: Infinity War promo posters are amazing! Specially the bag guy’s! I mean, sure, the Avengers look nice and heroic… but have you seen Thanos and his Black Order? Specially Proxima Midnight, damn!

Thanks to EW, we had a first look at deleted 14 scenes for Star Wars: The Last Jedi! Well, they preview like 5 of them… like they totally cut Luke mourning for Han! And BB-8 showing Rey’s good-bye to Finn! And that the Caretakers at Ahch-To have beef with some other tribe that tries to raid them. Uh. And apparently Stormtroopers don’t know Finn defected. And Finn totally tells everyone that Phasma is a coward for lowering the shields on Starkiller Base. LOL, maybe Hux should have listened to that instead of those Stormtroopers. He certainly seems to like her in the Phasma four-issue miniseries!

Lucas’s sister Erica will get a bigger role in Stranger Things season 3. Understandable, since she became a fan favourite with her one-liners.

The scene-stealer returns in the next installment with an army of her own friends. No longer content with sitting on the sidelines, Erica finds herself on a wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous new threat.

Check out Westworld season 2 new images (and a cover), courtesy of EW! Also, now we know what that feudal Japan theme park is really called. It’s not the SamuraiWorld many fans thought of. But it’s close enough: ShogunWorld.
