The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Great franchise news… that suck a bit

FRIDAY

Let’s start with twitter news! While Mark Ruffalo had a bit of a problem with Marvel after uploading some pictures of the cast and stuff from Avengers: Age of Ultron, RDJ can post a picture of the freaking new Iron Man suit and Marvel shuts up and takes it.

Meanwhile, Ruffalo contends himself with being cute with Tom Hiddleston on twitter. Seriously, they are just too cute!

Then J.K. Rowling had to go and reminds us on her twitter that today is 16th anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts. As if I wasn’t aware, dammit! She does accept that he hated killing some of those guys. She should regret killing Snape, and Remus or Tonks (just so their poor kid didn’t end up an orphan!), and poor Hedwig! Also, Entertainment Weekly has more feels about that than me. So nerdy~

And then, Bryan Fuller posted this Hannibal picture on Twitter. Because he’s evil and wants to give poor fangirls a heart-attack~

There was also an interview that talked about said picture, while talking about the subtext (that’s practically just text sometimes) between Hannibal and Will~ Fellatio and penetration were mention. Yep, Fuller knows what we want~

There are a lot of brotherly hugs and acknowledgement of the closeness of this relationship, without necessarily crossing that line. But we do get into an episode later on in the season, which ultimately is Will and Hannibal in bed together with Alana Bloom. So the barriers of that friendship get thinner and thinner.

So, let’s talk about the other series I love so much~ Vikings star Travis Fimmel and creator Michael Hirst talked about the Season 2 finale… which was fantastic OMG one of the best season finales I have ever seen. How are they every going to top this next season! I don’t know, but I want to see it happen! Oh yeah, the Vikings invade Paris in Season 3!

In Season 3, I think we have to up the game again, and Season 3 will certainly feature a very famous event which was their first Viking attack on Paris that Ragnar led. It’s the most extraordinary episode. I’ve seen woodcuts. I mean, they’re later woodcuts of the siege. And there are hundreds of ladders that the Vikings are trying to get into the city.

Back to Marvel, they have teamed up with NASA for an Avengers Times Square exhibit called Avengers STATION (Scientific Training And Tactical Intelligence Operative Network) that invites attendees to be trained as SHIELD agents by engaging in specially created STEM-based educational tasks! And it’s not like NASA is getting any money to do actual space stuff, so making kids interested in STEM stuff is good. But why SHIELD tho? Didn’t NASA watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier, or are they also infiltrated by HYDRA?

So, RDJ is not only tweeting Marvel stuff, the guy has also developed a supernatural horror comedy with werewolves called Cloaked! And because he is RDJ, Warner has already acquired the pitch. It will be done in the vein of An American Werewolf In London, and the script will be written by Derek Connolly, who also wrote Jurassic World. We’ll see how he does with these movies!

Matt Smith has joined the cast of Terminator: Genesis in a major (yet unknown) role! We do know that the role will grow in importance in the second and third films in the planned trilogy. Will he be good or bad character? We do not know yet. But congrats and the best of lucks!

OMFG yes! High-Rise will indeed get made and will get filmed in Northern Ireland! I’m just happy whenever Tom Hiddleston has actual projects, what with a couple of possible movies for him are in development hell.

Also, habemus release date for The Imitation Game with Benedict Cumberbatch and it is November 21st, perfect for Oscar noms~ Harvey Weinstein sure has a lot of faith in that movie!

So yeah, this is Kevin Spacey on the trailer of Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Yep, there’s a digital version of him in the game, and he is the one providing the voice.

Let’s finish the week with firsts! Here are the first impressions of Mad Max: Fury Road with Tom Hardy, and they are good! What is also good are the first reactions to Godzilla! Also they are quite spoilery so beware~

And that it’s for the week. Before I go, I want to wish Happy Birthday to Jet Li (26), Jenna Coleman (27), Michelle Pfeiffer (29), Daniel Day-Lewis (29), Uma Thurman (29), Una Stubbs (1), Wes Anderson (1) and Dwayne Johnson (2).
