The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: Full of marvelous feels

TUESDAY

The first Thor: The Dark World trailer is here and it’s awesome and Loki’s new hairdo became memetic. The trailer already made fanboys start commenting on their wishes and wondering about the things revealed.

Also, here be the second clip of Star Trek Into Darkness. Things are not doing well for our heroes~

RDJ keeps talking about Iron Man 3 and people keep asking him if he’ll keep doing it. He neither confirms nor denies anything:

I’m having a good time, you know what I mean? I just dislike it when people say one thing and then do something else. I don’t know why, I’m a stickler for it. Today, I would say I’d be happy to continue and I’d be a little nervous and a little depressed, but I would capitalise on not doing it too.

On the other hand, Gwyneth Paltrow gets to talk about Iron Man 3 too, specially about Pepper:

Pepper evolved so much from the first movie to this movie. She sort of found her strength and her voice throughout the four films [including The Avengers]. It’s fun to play a woman who’s going somewhere and she starts as meek and servile, she’s his assistant and she goes from being the longing, servile girl to being both the boss of the company and his love interest. She goes on quite a journey.

She always says she hasn’t seen The Avengers yet (gasp!) and whether she continues on more Marvel movies pretty much depends on RDJ.

Also, here’s a featurette about Extremis: what it is and what it means for the story-telling.

BTW, RDJ talks about the other Sherlocks on these new TV series that came after his Sherlock Holmes movies with Jude Law~

I feel like I’m an honorary Brit having played Sherlock. More importantly than playing Sherlock, I believe I helped launch all these really good TV shows. Even though I didn’t get a cut of those TV shows, it’s just enough to know. But Johnny Lee and Benedict, either one of those guys could have played in the movie and it probably still would have been as successful.

And on the subject of Sherlock, here are more pics from the set of Sherlock Series 3. Look at these fellas, hiding as if we didn’t know they are having a wedding. Of course, they are already wondering about Amanda Abbington and Martin Freeman having a wedding on TV, since they have been partners since 2000 but no actual marriage in sight. Anyway, here are a couple of pics not found in the article, but are all over Tumblr making some fangirls cry.

Empire Magazine keeps teasing us with tidbits of his Man of Steel special, where Zack Snyder that poor Smallville will get a smackdown~

It’s a Western face-off. [Zod and Faora and the rest of the Kryptonian invasion] care very little for Smallville’s iconographic status. We’re being really hard on the town: this battle needed to be dangerous.

And that we should expect Man of Steel to be a one-off.

We didn’t design the movie like Batman [i.e. as a trilogy] but I don’t think anybody would say you design a Superman movie as a one-off.

Lee Pace is in final negotiations to be the bad guy in Guardians of the Galaxy! Get that franchise money, Lee! He was being considered to be Star-Lord, but a bad guy ain’t a bad deal. If done well, those are quite memorable. Just ask Tom Hiddleston! So, what baddie is he going to play exactly? We have no idea! Marvel is being all secretive and stuff~

We get to watch a preview of Rebuild of Evangelion 4.0, which doesn’t show much besides cool fighting; but it’s good to know they aren’t being lazy and they are actually working on this movie.

@Diandra Rodriguez, Yeah, that Tilda was into k-pop was a total surprise for me too xD Now, I wonder what (or rather who) exactly she likes!
As for the others my mixed feelings of American manga adaptations attack…
And is it too much to ask that Fox and Disney joing forces to do a House of M movie?
