The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: DC delays, Marvel celebrates~

SUNDAY

There can be miracles when you believe~ OK, fine, it’s not the first time Leonardo DiCaprio wins a Golden Globe (there was one for The Aviator), and it’s still not an Oscar but… we are getting there, Leo!

Anyway, here’s the full list of Golden Globe winners.

BTW, about those Star Wars rumors, here’s what Chiwetel Ejiofor has to say:

I don’t know is really the only answer I can give you. I’m a huge fan of that world and JJ, but I don’t know. I can’t tell you. There are a lot of things that would be great to play and to investigate if I spent enough time thinking about it, but really it’s to try and see what actually does happen, what materialises… and figure out what the great stories are.

On things that are totally confirmed, Peter Parker returns as Spider-Man in new The Amazing Spider-Man comic that will be here in April. Here’s what writer Dan Slott has to say:

We’ve gone over 30 issues without Peter Parker, so when we let him out of that box and he gets to put on that costume again and he gets to swing through the sky, it’s going to be the greatest feeling. But there’s a twist. There’s always a twist.

MONDAY

Sherlock finale gets 8.77 million in rating on Sunday. ‘His Last Vow’ has had a slight down, but still pretty great! Also, I don’t know what to do with these feels. Also, that cliffhanger was evil but I also hope it’s not as it seems. Also, yeah, that young Sherlock was totally Moffat’s son.

So much nepotism! BTW, that Live Q&A with Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss was made of awesome. And made me rage and laugh at different places… just like the show!

– Did you ever consider other actors for the parts of Sherlock’s parents?
– No other gene combination would be credible. ^SM

Michael Douglas is totally Hank Pym on Ant-Man! Yep, that means Paul Rudd is totally Scott Lang, and the story is going to be “To Steal an Ant-Man”~ Here’s what big boss Kevin Feige had to say:

With Hank Pym’s rich history in the Marvel Universe, we knew we needed an actor capable of bringing the weight and stature to the role that the character deserves. We felt incredibly relieved when Michael Douglas agreed to step into the part with the charm and fortitude he brings to every character he inhabits, and couldn’t be more excited to see what he will do to bring Hank Pym to life.

And what does Michael Douglas have to say about the part?

I’ve been dying to do a Marvel picture for so long. The script is really fun, the director is really good. Dylan (his 13-year-old son) will love it. He’ll have a picture he can see.

OMG! James Earl Jones and Carrie Fisher will guest star on The Big Bang Theory for season 7! Apparently, both actors will play themselves in the episode and will cross paths with Sheldon (Jim Parsons) during the half hour.
