The Fangirly Diary of a Geek Girl: And none for Leo DiCaprio, bye!

THURSDAY

Before Oscars, here’s the complete guide for Pacific Rim. Courtesy of Total Film!

In the other not Award-related news today, we have Anthony Mackie talking about Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It just shows he’s a total fanboy, and likes his costume a lot:

It’s pretty awesome. I look like a bad mother-what. It’s pretty cool.

Yay! The Avengers ILM for your consideration video which details Hulk in all his CGI glory… which totally worked since they got the nomination for Best Visual Effects. But yeah, that was a given.

But who got snubbed at the Academy Awards this year? Besides, Leonardo DiCaprio, that is. I bet those Nolan fanboys are more butthurt than Nolan himself right now. Also, ouch for DreamWorks. Sad for Skyfall not getting more noms, considering they will make a James Bond special this year. Anyway, check the complete list here.

But, yeah, Oscar snubs is old stuff. Here’s a list of past Oscar snubs~ But you know who got snubbed in this snub list? Andy efffing Serkis for Supporting Actor in the freaking Lord of the Rings, who was also creepy adorable in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Dammit!

Talking about awards, congrats to Tom Hiddleston for getting Biggest Wanker according to the kiwis! LOL.

FRIDAY

They day started with excellent images of Iron Man 3, Man of Steel and The Wolverine. They make me shiver with antici…pation!

Talking about awesome stuff? OMG last night’s episode of The Big Bang Theory was one of the most geekiest! It also got the best rating ever.

So, Joss Whedon is apparently two months from finishing the script of The Avengers 2 and getting ready to direct the pilot of S.H.I.E.L.D. Talking about S.H.I.E.L.D., it is not a prequel, says ABC president Paul Lee. Wow.

There is no question that it is part of the Marvel Universe. In fact, the story takes place after the battle for New York.

Goddess Jaimie Alexander talks about Wonder Woman:

There needs to be a positive role model. If you’re going to make Wonder Woman, make it like The Bourne Supremacy. Let’s do something awesome like that. Like Alias. That was a fantastic show. Why can’t we do that? Why does she have to be in hot pants and spandex? I get it, it’s visually stunning for half of the people, but at least make her grow a pair!

I’m not sure about the Bourne Treatment, but, yeah, they need a decent Wonder Woman movie. And whatever her opinions about the mistreatment of the character, Jaimie will make an awesome Wonder Woman.

Talking about DC flops, apparently Justice League could be pushed back to 2016 if they are still without a director. Man, nobody wants to touch this one, just like the new Star Wars movie. Are all directors afraid they will fail and don’t want to be associated with that?

Finally, here’s why MTV thinks we love Benedict Cumberbatch. Also, LOL at that video and the Alan Rickman impersonation. But I still want my charm-off with Hiddles, dammit!

And that’s it! Before I go, let’s celebrate the birthday of four awesome people. Ok, two awesome people and two awesome fictional characters: Hayao Miyazaki, Sherlock Holmes, Jeremy Renner and Severus Snape. I’m sure you know which is which~

Poor Leo… but if he didn’t get a nod for Revolutionary Road, he wasn’t gonna get one for Django. LOL

Anyway, I can’t imagine how a Star Wars version movie would look like from the eyes of Guillermo del Toro xD I’m also so not sure about that Y: The Last Man movie.

  2. “I think she and Hiddles should do a physical comedy: the wacky adventures of Loki and Sif… with Dwayne Johnson.”
    I would watch that!

Anthony Mackie likes his costume and Jaimie Alexander watched Alias! :D

I shall only spazz briefly, for it’s 10 of 3 am where I am right now. I shall come back later in the day. But, it’s like a running joke with the Academy now, not nominating DiCap. It kinda makes me sad. Dude’s a beast actor. And you made a good point when you said he tried so hard for the sake of getting a nomination, but it’s almost as if he shouldn’t because all they’re doing is laughing and pointing as they have his balls in a vice grip to see how much longer he’ll squirm.

I’ma need him to win something… SOON!

And that’s all for now… HaHa.
