Music Mondays: New Releases, Miguel Flies… sort of, and More!

This week had some pretty insane news and releases. Videos and performances just were kind of insane last week, so let’s just jump right into it, shall we?

Monday:

Happy Birthday Stevie Wonder!!! To share love of my absolute all-time favorite artist, The Roots shared remixes of  Stevie Wonder classics, compliments of ?estlove’s side group The Randy Watson Experience! See both of them here.

9th Wonder generously gave us a tour of his studio[1] while Talib takes fans on a day in the life[1]! Silver Swan gave us a killer remix of Phoenix’s Trying To Be Cool [1].

Here’s something gorgeous and perfect from South London way,  Tawiah’s music video for her track FACes [1]

The first music video ever shot in space! Maybe not so surprisingly, it’s a video set to the David Bowie classic, Space Oddity! Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield showed us his vocal chops with his rendition of the Bowie classic. Too cool for words, you guys.

Speaking of tours, Chance the Rapper announces his tour on his webiste, where he says he’ll be bringing his music and “huge Jolly Ranchers!”[1]. We also got the Motown the Musical OBC releasing the soundtrack to the new musical come June 4 [1].

Remember last week when The Step Kids did a decidedly more impressive job with JT’s Suit & Tie? Well, they’re back at it. This time with their take on Daft Punk’s Get Lucky!

As unexpected as my path was to loving all things weird, more unexpected is my ability to get attention for writing about the stuff.

    Yay! Idris!
LOL Miguel, I learnt about it through LJ… but man, the girl who got kicked it in the face had it worse than the once that almost got teabagged in my opinion~

@Mirella, Dude.. it was just… it was ugly on all sides! He basically face kicked TWO chicks, one went down, the other one was pulled to the side while the girl he hugged just took the opportunity… HaHa.

      And yes… IDRIS!
