f(x) goes Teresa Teng style for Tian Mi Mi

f(x) was in Hong Kong for a special presentation for Music Bank — Of course, Hong Kong is the city of cinema so the introduction included stills of Wong Kar-wai’s Chungking Express, John Woo’s A Better Tomorrow, Infernal Affairs… some Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee… and they even managed to insert some Jay Chou.

Of course, the staple — and quintessential Hong Kong movie has to go to the 1996 romantic drama, Comrades: Almost a Love Story, which features Teresa Teng’s staple 1979 classic, Tian Mi Mi (甜蜜蜜), which the group sang in a blend of Mandarin and Korean. Damn it, I’m telling everyone. Switching languages back and forth can be possible.

My only non-valid complaint would be… this song needs more Amber. LOL

I remember I was enthralled by the simplicity of the melody for Tian Mi Mi when I first listened to it being performed — however briefly — in a presentation with Bibi in a duo with Hong Kong singer Priscilla Chan [YouTube].

If they let Amber sing more, you wouldn’t be able to listen to the song since all you girls would be screaming.
