Diandra’s Top 20 Music Moments of 2013
14. Beyoncé feat. Drake – Mine
A couple of songs on Beyoncé’s latest album branch off into a different vibe halfway through the composition. There’s an additional, compelling tension under the surface of Mine that brings me back to the song when I least expect it. The video is constantly taken off of Youtube, so here‘s one site where you can view it.
13. Melt Yourself Down – Fix My Life
Melt Yourself Down throws sounds from all over the world into an indescribable psychedelic jazz fusion. Main single Fix My Life is an excellent intro to their style, although the video requires a strong epilepsy warning.
There’s a Vimeo version available. To listen to this track without blinding visuals, visit the song’s Bandcamp page.
12. Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Sacrilege
Solid song with a (NSFW) video [1] that’s an exemplar of non-chronological storytelling. Watch the video in “reverse” here.
Dude… Tricky’s new album just lit up my life. I was missing him something FIERCE for so long… HaHA. I LOVE his new stuff! And T.O.P. just makes my life with his videos. Actually GD and the whole Big Bang outfit manage to make some of THE most creative and interesting… and weird… videos in Kpop! YAY for this list!!!
@Camiele, yeah, it’s great to see Tricky still going strong. And all the Big Bang members’s project can be fun and…out there, but TOP is my favorite.
@Camiele, did you try Stromae’s music?
@Diandra Rodriguez, I have not. I’ve not had a chance to sit down and actually just listen to music to try it.
@Camiele, lists have been made for all.
@amy, that (http://www.xiami.com/song/showcollect/id/27335483) is awesome!
