Amy’s Top50 Songs of 2014

20. Juanes – Una Flor

A lot of people have begun thinking that Juanes has been lazying around with his lyrics, especially when he focuses on his most upbeat songs. I tend to think along those lines as well, but I think he does pretty well with Una Flor, which happens to be a slow song, with verses that simply go~

Para perfumarte del amor del que voy a hablarte, y quiero demostrarte lo mucho que me gustas. Quedate, vamos a ver juntos el amanecer, los dos metidos en la arena, mirando las estrellas.

(To shower you with the love which I’m speaking of with you, and I want to show you how much I like you. Stay, let’s watch the sunrise together, the two of us buried in the sand, looking up at the stars.)

19. Bi Rain (비) – La Song [1]

18. Sun Kil Moon – Carissa [YouTube][Xiami]

17. Yuguo (羽果) – Don’t Wake Me at Dawn (天亮不要叫醒我) [YouTube][Xiami]

16. Hozier – Angel of Small Death & The Codeine Scene

No use of Real Estate’s “Had To Hear”? :(

[…] Last year, I fell in love with Carrchy’s (卡奇社) music. And honestly, their 2007 album Daylight Allure (日光倾城) is pretty good stuff [Xiami] [YouTube Sample], but they hadn’t been releasing ANYTHING for many MANY years. Last night, they surprised with the release of the single track Clouds (云, Yun), which you can get in Xiami (Sorry, those who Xiami is blocking). I don’t know anywhere else where you might listen to their music [Here’s some Douban demos]. […]
