Amy’s Favorite 100 Actresses
25-21.
In the land where turning 20 is reaching your peak, I’m just really always constantly flabbergasted at the amount of good material that Aoi Miyazaki receives, be it in dramatic roles, comedy or animation. And I’m just really ecstatic that Marion managed to stay afloat in Hollywood after her Oscar win, but even that wouldn’t be enough to trump Miki Nakatani in Memories of Matsuko.
And gawd~ Toni Collette is an accent chameleon.
20-18.
I like Wasikowska’s no-BS no-trying approach to her roles. I think she’s the youngest pick that is so high up on the list, but she’s just that damn awesome. In that regard, she’s similar to Sevigny. They both have a similar quality that makes the intensity of their acting look like it comes so easy.
Moore doesn’t quite have that, but she can be something that the other two can’t. She’s funny.
17-15.
Well, freaking Konkona Sen Sharma can be friends with Toni Collette and they can speak in different accents all the time. She can be intense, crack you up and scare you sh!tless. She and Kwai Lun Mei could probably play all of Naomi Watts roles with comfort, while Watts would be wondering what to do in Flying Swords of Dragon Gate.
great list! You even included more than a few I had forgotten to suggest!
@Diandra Rodriguez, and more names started popping up after I settled for the photos. Namely… Anna Kendrick xD and Vera Farmiga.
Well, #1 is a surprise that comes from nowhere.
@Ghost Writer, I was a little surprised myself.
