Amy’s Favorite 100 Actresses

55-51.

55. Rinko Kikuchi (JP, ’81), 54. Yu Aoi (JP, ’85), 53. Shu Qi (TW, ’76), 52. Carey Mulligan (UK, ’85), 51. Julia Roberts (US, ’67).

Amy, do you have anything against movie stars? You, little girl, have no taste whatsoever.

But forget about my movie-star-placing. I’m placing my bias Yu Aoi so low in my own list! I actually placed her higher, but she kept moving down (as so many others did) as other names kept popping up.

50-46.

50. Scarlett Johansson (US, ’84), 49. Charlize Theron (ZA, ’75), 48. Robin Wright (US, ’66), 47. Charlotte Gainsbourg (FR-UK, ’71), 46. Sridevi (IN, ’63).

Robin Wright is the living depiction of “getting back on that horse.

Moreover, Sridevi doesn’t need a last name… or a really great film to shine through, though she has proven that she can charm you and break your heart at the drop of a dime if she had ever put focus on that. She really needs to get out of her comfort zone.
